Using Flock Browser To Help Promote Yourself and Your Business

With today's Web2.0 internet, people are using social networking sites more and more. With the huge numbers of social networking sites that are out there, it becomes a chore to reach audiences on these sites. One tool I use is Flock browser. It is a Firefox based browser that makes it easy to keep up with your posts in different places. I particularly like the ease of accessing my Twitter and Facebook contacts so I can respond to people who update their pages or who leave me messages.
Flock browser's interface includes a "My World" page that allows you to keep up with feeds from a number of sources, updates from your friends on different sites, ability to search for terms on places like Twitter and more. You can update blog posts on platforms like Blogspot and WordPress with ease. I find it easy to bookmark my articles and send it out to my friends list at sites I frequent -- a tool that is extremely useful.
The People sidebar allows you to look at friends you've added at a particular site (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and any other social networking site supported by Flock) simultaneously where you can check out their posts, links, updated photos and more. You will also be able to see messages, friend requests, groups and other info in a snapshot. Often I scroll through these and use them to see who I need to respond to or use for a post if I am doing a promotion. Flock is a pretty versatile tool for acessing social networking sites and when you get to using it regularly, you will see it's value in promoting yourself and spreading word about your business.

Looking Up From the Bottom...

Been a while since I updated here and I promise to do better. Seems to have been a lifetime since I made a post here so here we go. Today's topic is the proverbial auto responder and how it can get you from looking up from the bottom in your home business to building a solid client base you can be proud of. First, let's start with the basics.
You must build a communication network for your business. Phone calls, emails, meetings and other forms of communication all play a part, but the most important part of this is having a database to keep up with everything. This where the auto responder comes in. It makes it easy to keep up with it all. People add themselves as they find you and you can keep up with what they are interested in, the last piece of communication they received from you, and manage where to plug them in with the next item that they need from your business.
Aweber is by far the best auto responder I've seen for the price. You can use their system for around $20 boucks a month to start and it's hard to beat. You can run several campaigns, go back and check out individual subscribers and keep tabs on loads of data like responses from your emails and who is opening them.
So when you get that home business going, plug in the auto responder as soon as you can. It will definitely be a plus for your business and give you a lot of guidance on where you need to be putting your efforts.

Prospecting Online: Secrets That Get You Noticed

It boils down to this...
When you have a viral prospecting system in place
you can expect your advertising to take on a life of its own and continue
to grow effortlessly while you're focusing on more
important things such as family and friends.
Someone I recently found while exploring online managed to
accomplish the difficult task of duplication all while
maintaining their full time job and family life.
One of the things they mentioned was that right at the beginning of
his online ventures they searched for a system
that would bring interested prospects automatically.
Traditional advertising methods were not an option for them
because they required a lot of time and
commitment. Not possible when you are holding down a full time
job and only working your business part time.
What they wanted was a huge list that
could be built on auto-pilot from part time efforts.
"But did such a solution exist?"
If it did, they said they couldn't find it...
So after many years of struggling to build a solid
residual income through network marketing they
decided it was time to take the bull by the horns
(so to speak) and they created a 3 step marketing
system that literally exploded their list and prospects
within a few months.
The part that amazed me the most was the fact
that they didn't spend a dime on advertising. And
their list is now over 11,460 strong and
growing monthly on auto-pilot.
Ultimately I learned that being a successful
online entrepreneur involves providing some type of system
that helps your list grow virally, not sitting
around wondering why your ads aren't doing
anything.
I guess the quote from Zig Ziglar holds true:
"You can have everything in life you want, if you
just help enough other people get what they want."

The Monetary Benefits of Affiliate Marketing: Finding Niches Online

The monetary benefits of affiliate marketing can be profitable for you. So what is affiliate marketing? Lots of companies are looking for people to peddle their wares online and they pay them commissions to do it. The process of completing these sales online is called affiliate marketing and it can be very profitable for you if you know where to find the right company and the right product.
Moms, college students, and others are getting into this lucrative venture. So where do you start? I suggest learning the ropes first, figuring out a plan for how you will proceed and then executing it. There are lots of guides out there that will walk you through the learning process step by step to becoming an affiliate rep. Two of these are Wealthy Affiliate University and the Super Affiliate Handbook (both of which I recommend highly).
Good ideas for products can be found at the search engines but you need to do a thorough job of looking at the market and determining your competition before you get started. You should keep a pen and paper with you at all times just in case you get an idea you might want to research later. If you don't have an idea of your own, not to fret. You can follow trends and hot items online and draw ideas from there on what you might want to look into selling.
My advice is: don't wait. The opportunity is out there waiting and this is one that doesn't need a wad of cash to get started on. Check into it, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.

The Right Way to Run an Online Campaign

Often internet marketer mistakes with campaigns can be costly. Many of us try to pack too much into a campaign or use a 'buckshot' approach to getting the job done. Joel Therien has a great video that demonstrates some of the common mistakes marketers make and how they can be overcome.
A lot of what goes behind a successful campaign is simple planning. Start with the end in mind. What type of person is going to want your product? Where do they hang out online? What techniques can you use to grab their attention?
The other half of this process is producing the web page copy for your advertisement. In the traffic exchanges, the answer to this one is simple: Use a clear cut lead capture page with a killer headline and you will get sign ups. If you are using another ad medium such as a classified, banner or text ad, they should lead either to the lead capture page or a squeeze sales page with a call to action button or link.
As always, the success is in the follow up. Be sure to give the prospect a way to purchase the service or product right away if they want it up front. If they do not purchase right away, let your autoresponder do the heavy lifting and marketing for you. Remember simpler is better and your prospects of making a sale go up when the amount of prospects in your sales funnel goes up.

Growing Your Network income
If you are like me, you stay busy and find the need to focus and prioritize stuff all the time. Most part-time internet marketers have to do this because if you don't, the time you spend on your business goes for nought. Getting into a routine and concentrating on the right things is how you build your network income.
So what do you need to concentrate on? Here's some bright ideas:
1) Focus on bringing new blood to the group. This is probably the number 1 activity you should be working on and is the reason a lot of marketers fail. Adding new people on your autoresponder list is the most critical aspect of recruiting online. You then have to make sure that your follow up messages are doing the job of turning these into sign ups. The target if you're in the building mode is to work up to getting 5-10 people on your list everyday and if you are part-time, this means 80% of your time should be spent here. Getting good and having a top notch traffic and leads system will get you here.
2) Providing the proper training for new hires. You should stress training for the new people in your group and motivate them to action. If your newbies are staying busy in activities like recruiting and learning about setting up their own system to bring people to the group, this means the pipeline will stay full and the income has nowhere to go but up. I often tell people starting with me that they need to dedicate to a 10-15 hour a week work ethic to be successful.
3) Educating yourself and keeping abreast of trends and niches in the business. You have to stay a step ahead of the competition and know what to answer people when they ask about certain aspects of your business. This means reading and listening to books and tapes that help with your personal development skills you need for network marketing. Recommending tools like books and tapes to your group isn't a bad idea and will help them with their own personal development.
You will also have to watch cash flow when you are looking at how your business develops each month. Watch what you spend on ads and promotional materials and make sure these are producing in relation to what you are paying for them. Plow some of what you earned back into your business and keep working at it checking to make sure you reach your goals on time.
